Ukraine plans to resume flights from Boryspil and Lviv airports by the end of January 2025

Ukraine is considering the possibility of resuming air traffic from Boryspil airports near Kyiv and Lviv in the west of the country by the end of January 2025. This information was reported by the senior partner of "Marsh McLennan" Allison, who reported on the significant efforts of the government and international partners aimed at creating conditions for the safe operation of air transportation in the current security situation.

According to him, it will be easier to provide insurance mechanisms for aviation if planes start flying from Lviv airport, but Zelensky insists that Boryspil should be opened first.

"I think that if we are lucky, in January we will have five or six airlines that want to fly (from Ukraine). The initial focus is Lviv Airport. A seven-minute flight from Poland."
