The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine presented the National Energy and Climate Plan (NPEC) to local self-government bodies.
The Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Oleksiy Sobolev, noted that the government will seek appropriate resources to achieve the goals defined in the NPEK. The plan envisages the attraction of both private investments and financing from donors to promote the implementation of "green" projects throughout the territory of Ukraine. According to Sobolev, this will contribute to the development of local communities, create new jobs and raise the standard of living, as well as ensure sustainable economic growth.
According to him, the NPEC is an important document that aligns the goals of all strategies related to the economy, energy and climate, and reflects what these sectors will be like in 2030.
The development of NPEK is coordinated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, which includes all key ministries and agencies, together with independent experts with the support of the Embassy of Great Britain and the Net Zero World Initiative.
