In 2024, Ukraine received a record amount of direct budget support from international partners - $41.7 billion. This assistance did not include military support. The information was released by the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev.
It should be noted that this is comparable to the entire revenue part of the Ukrainian budget for 2024 ($47 billion) and is slightly less than half of the expenditure part ($89 billion).
Two-thirds of external financing is concessional loans, the rest is grants (mainly from the USA).
At the same time, in 2024, partners gave Ukraine 700 million less than a year earlier.
In total, Ukraine has been allocated $115 billion in financial (non-military) support since the beginning of the war.
The European Union provided the most money for budgetary needs, followed by the Americans. Together, they account for two-thirds of all financial assistance. At the same time, the United Kingdom, which actively supports Ukraine, provided less than three percent of financial assistance.
