Ukraine's energy sector is recovering - Kucherenko

Despite extensive destruction and ongoing challenges, Ukraine's energy sector is showing impressive results in restoring critical infrastructure, said Oleksiy Kucherenko , People's Deputy and First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services.

According to him, energy workers have done a tremendous job stabilizing the power system after numerous damages and attacks on energy facilities.

“The energy industry has done its job”

"Given the scale of the destruction of thermal generation, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants, solar power plants, and networks, the energy industry has done its "homework." There are no complaints about the Ministry of Energy here," Kucherenko noted.

He particularly emphasized the important cooperation between public and private companies, which helped overcome the crisis in the energy sector.

Public-private sector synergy

"The synergy between state and private energy companies played a key role in stabilizing the situation. This is a very positive result," the MP emphasized.

Kucherenko also called on Ukrainians to rely on official sources of information and not to succumb to panicked statements by some experts, who, according to him, sometimes seek to destabilize the situation.

"I advise you to trust only official information from government officials, and not manipulative statements from experts, who sometimes deliberately sow panic," Kucherenko emphasized.

The MP also expressed support for the Minister of Energy, stating that he has no complaints about his work.

"Although we are in opposition, I agree with the minister's professional position. He is managing the situation with dignity, and I am closely monitoring his actions," Kucherenko concluded.
