Ukraine's largest trading partners: China in first place

China became Ukraine's largest trading partner in 2023, surpassing other countries. The State Customs Service of Ukraine reported that trade turnover last year amounted to $99.4 billion, of which $63.5 billion was imports and $36 billion was exports.

The largest importing countries to Ukraine are recognized as:

  1. China – $10.4 billion
  2. Poland – $6.6 billion
  3. Germany – $4.9 billion

The largest number of goods were exported to:

  1. Poland – $4.7 billion
  2. Romania – $3.7 billion
  3. China – $2.4 billion

According to the results of the year, the leading product categories are:

The most imported goods:

  1. Machinery, equipment and transport – $19.8 billion
  2. Chemical industry products – $11 billion
  3. Fuel and energy products – $10.3 billion

The most exported goods:

  1. Food products – $21.8 billion
  2. Metals and products made from them – $3.9 billion
  3. Machinery, equipment and transport – $2.9 billion

Despite challenges and difficulties, Ukrainian exports continue to occupy an important place in the global market, and the development of trade with China indicates a high level of economic cooperation between the countries.
