Ukraine registers one raiding case every day, but only 17% of them go to trial

In 2023, more than 360 cases of raiding were recorded in Ukraine, but only 17% of them went to court. The total number of cases has almost tripled compared to the previous year, reaching 363 proceedings, but remains 1.6 times lower than in 2021, when 597 such cases were recorded.

On average, 30 raiding cases were opened per month in 2023, compared to 50 proceedings per month in 2021, indicating a decrease in activity. Only 16.8% of cases go to court, compared to 37.3% in 2021. The number of raiding cases

During the specified period, 80% of raiding cases remained unsolved. Forgery of documents (Article 205-1 of the Criminal Code) is the main reason for opening cases of raiding (more than 68% of all proceedings), but only 55 cases of this type reached the court hearing.

17% of cases were opened on charges of opposing legal economic activity (Article 206 of the Criminal Code), but none of them went to court. The smallest number of proceedings (15%) concerns the illegal seizure of the property of enterprises (Article 206-2 of the Criminal Code), of which only 6 cases reached a court decision.
