Ukrainian sprayed gas and threatened to blow up a house in Poland

A serious incident occurred in the Polish city of Wroclaw involving a 47-year-old Ukrainian citizen who threatened to explode an apartment building on Nanker Square.

According to local police, a man sprayed gas and spilled flammable substances in his apartment. He declared his intention to destroy the building using a homemade gas installation and an acetylene torch, which posed a great danger to the residents.

Law enforcement officers, forensic experts, and a negotiator quickly arrived at the scene. Due to the high concentration of gas and the danger of an explosion, the police evacuated the residents of the building. Due to the disregard for police demands, the apartment was stormed, as a result of which the man was detained.

No one was injured. The detainee was charged with endangering public safety. The court ordered him to be temporarily detained. Under Polish law, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

It is known that the man has previously had problems with the law due to threats and insults directed at government officials. The investigation is ongoing.
