Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced the prospect of concluding a "good deal" between Ukraine and the United States, which would concern the development and extraction of minerals. He said this during a speech in Congress, noting that cooperation in this area can bring significant economic benefits to both countries.
He noted that Ukraine is the richest country in Europe in terms of rare minerals, which, according to his estimates, are worth 2-7 trillion dollars.
That is why, according to Graham, the United States should help Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
"Ukraine is ready to conclude an agreement with us, not with Russia, so it is in our interests to ensure that Russia does not establish itself there. Ukraine is really the "granary" of the world. 50% of food in Africa comes from Ukraine. We can make money and have economic relations with Ukraine, which will be very useful for us. So Donald Trump wants a deal to get our money back so we can get rich from rare minerals. A good deal for Ukraine and for us," the senator said.
We will remind you that Graham has already raised the topic of Ukraine's minerals - however, then he was talking about 10-13 trillion dollars, not 2-7.
After that, the proposal to master them appeared in Zelenskyi's "victory plan". The mass media wrote that this point was being prepared at Bankova in case Trump was elected.
