Ukraine leads the world mortality rating and has the lowest birth rate in the world

Ukraine is currently facing serious demographic challenges: the country has the highest mortality rate and the lowest birth rate on the planet.

This was stated by Victoria Wagner, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health.

According to data from the Ministry of Justice, cited by the People's Deputy, from January to June 2024, 87,655 people were born in the country, and 250,972 died.

This means that this year, mortality in Ukraine is almost three times higher than the birth rate. At the same time, in 2018-20, this indicator was at the level of 2:1.

Recall, Trump previously stated that Ukraine's losses in the war amounted to 400,000 people.
