On the night of June 23, 2024, the enemy attacked Ukraine with three Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles from the Sea of Azov. According to the General Staff, two missiles were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile systems of the Air Force in the Kyiv region.
At night, the occupiers launched rockets, which was recorded in the South, in the Center and in the West of Ukraine. According to the Air Force, the Calibers flew from the South through the Mykolaiv Oblast in the direction of the Kirovohrad Oblast, then through the northwestern Kirovohrad Oblast to the Cherkasy Oblast with a vector to Bila Tserkva. After that, the rockets headed to the Kyiv region through the Zhytomyr region, and their course was recorded in the Andrushiv district of the Zhytomyr region with the direction to Fastiv.
One of the missiles was detected in the southern part of Khmelnytskyi, heading west. In Kyiv, the signal for the retreat was announced at 5:41 in the morning.
The Chief Officer of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, confirmed the presence of injured and damaged buildings. By 8:00 a.m., two people sought medical attention with minor injuries, which were treated at the scene. As a result of falling debris, six high-rise buildings and more than twenty private houses were damaged. Gas station buildings, pharmacies, enterprises, an administrative building and three cars were also damaged.
