Ukraine is once again under threat from international pressure to end the war, which has been going on for eight years in the east of the country. Politician Oleh Rybachuk, a former deputy prime minister of Ukraine, expressed concern about the possibility of forcing Ukraine to end the war under certain conditions, during a meeting with journalists on the Espresso channel.
According to him, it looks like Kyiv is preparing for a situation where in about a year they can force Ukraine and Putin to stop the war.
The politician added that this issue was raised by Donald Trump.
Rybachuk believes that regardless of the details, on what borders and conditions this will happen, such a possibility is real. “Yes, Ukraine will have several years to become stronger than Russia. But Putin will also have time to rest, to gain strength — Koreans, Chinese, equipment, etc.,” the expert noted.
Rybachuk emphasized that everyone knows very well what Putin would do in such a situation, it is already obvious.
But more important is what will happen inside Ukraine during this pause. "I think about it with horror. The first thing we will do is rush into the election race. Yermak's people must definitely stay in power. They will do everything to make us quarrel among ourselves, and we are guaranteed to quarrel.
"Of the three or five years that we will have to become a strong country, even without Russian military intervention, we risk being torn apart from within," Rybachuk said, adding that this is precisely the threat of the very distorted system of power that currently exists in Ukraine.
