According to information received from a source in the Verkhovna Rada, there will be no peace summit this year. The Government of Ukraine, in particular the Office of the President, continues to work on finding new formats that would allow to promote Volodymyr Zelenskyy's victory plan and provide the necessary funding to continue the war in 2025. This means that even in the conditions of international fatigue from the conflict, Ukraine does not plan to stop fighting and seeks to find ways to support at the global level.
Andriy Yermak, the head of the President's Office, has finally abandoned the idea of uniting the countries of the Global South around Ukraine's support. Instead, he is focused on maintaining the support of Western partners, in particular Europe and the United States, and ensuring their active participation in financing and political support for Zelensky. Kyiv's current position is that the conflict should be resolved through achieving a military victory, not through peaceful negotiations, at least in the short term.
