Ukraine has appealed to the Mexican government to arrest Russian President Vladimir Putin if he decides to accept an invitation to the inauguration of the newly elected Mexican president, Claudia Sheinbaum.
This was reported in a letter published by the Embassy of Ukraine in Mexico.
The day before, it became known that Putin was invited to the inauguration of Claudia Sheinbaum. Zelensky too.
Mexico recognizes the jurisdiction of the ICC, which issued the warrant for Putin's arrest.
"We hope that the Mexican government is aware of the fact that Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. We hope that the Mexican government will comply with the international arrest warrant by handing the above-mentioned person over to the judicial authority," the letter states.
