Famous Ukrainian theater and film actor Andriy Valensky, who defended the country after the Russian invasion, was seriously injured during fighting in the Donetsk region. He is currently in hospital, undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Actress Rimma Zyubina spoke about Valensky's serious injuries on her Instagram page.
“It happened in the Donetsk region between Klyshchiivka and Ivanovsky.
Andriy Valensky has a traumatic brain injury, contusion, a broken and stitched face, a broken nose, a broken left arm, a burned right arm, and a shattered right thigh,” she wrote.

His colleague Artem Miaus also confirmed the information about the injury, writing on Facebook: “Where else would we meet? Andriy Valensky is alive! A little shaken up, but alive! Recovering in Kyiv.”.
According to the actor's acquaintances, he needs surgery and long-term rehabilitation. Colleagues and friends of Walensky are actively raising funds for his treatment, expressing their support and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Andriy Valensky is a graduate of the theater department of the Kharkiv University of Arts, known for his acting in over 50 films, including “Major”, “Second Front”, “The Daughter of the Violinist” and others. He also performed on the stages of the Taras Shevchenko Theater in Kharkiv, the Lesya Ukrainka Theater, and the Drama and Comedy Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper in Kyiv. In 2023, Valensky joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continuing the fight for the independence of his country.
