The founder of the TIK group and the current director of the Vinnytsia Leontovych Regional Philharmonic, Viktor Broniuk, shared his memories of his creative path outside the group. One of the bright moments, he called the duet with People's Artist of Ukraine Iryna Bilyk and a joint concert tour, which left a significant mark on the country's musical history.
“I know her as a simple, ordinary person. She is honest and very creative,” Bronyuk said, talking about Bilyk. According to him, their joint work began during a difficult period — during his personal recovery from COVID-19. It was then that he wrote the song “Don’t Kiss,” which later became popular in a duet with Bilyk.
"The moral salvation for me then was painting, words, and melody, which kept spinning in my head," the musician admitted.
The success of the composition became the impetus for the joint tour "Best Ukrainian Hits", which took place in the spring of 2013. In 30 days, Bronyuk and Bilyk held 24 concerts in different parts of Ukraine, which became a record and was entered into the Ukrainian Book of Records.
“When Iryna Bilyk and I sang this song in a duet, it was such a boom that we soon went on a joint all-Ukrainian tour,” Bronyuk recalls with nostalgia.
Today, he continues to develop the cultural life of the Vinnytsia region as the head of the philharmonic society, but with gratitude he recalls the creative moments that became significant not only for him, but also for thousands of listeners across the country.
