According to the new Forbes ranking, none of Ukraine's billionaires increased their wealth last year. Ukraine is represented by 6 people, with Rinat Akhmetov leading the way.
As of 2024, the richest Ukrainian remains Rinat Akhmetov, who ranks 377th in the world ranking with a capital of $7.9 billion. He is followed by Viktor Pinchuk ($3.2 billion), Petro Poroshenko ($1.7 billion), and Vlad Yatsenko ($1.2 billion). Their fortunes remained unchanged compared to the previous year.
Slightly less change was experienced by the assets of Vadym Novinsky ($1.2 billion), who lost less than a million dollars, and Konstantin Zhevago ($1.1 billion), who lost $10 million due to sanctions.
This year, Gennady Bogolyubov, co-owner of the Privat Group, as well as his partner Ihor Kolomoisky, who left the rating last year, dropped out of the ranking.
Interestingly, 15 new billionaires from Russia appeared on the Forbes list this year. Russia ranks fifth among countries in terms of the number of newcomers, behind the United States (103 new billionaires), Germany (37), China and Hong Kong (32), and India (17).
Elon Musk remains the richest person in the world, although his fortune has decreased by $2.5 billion, now standing at $340 billion.
