Several well-known fuel networks in Ukraine, including BRSM-Nafta, Avantage7, Motto, and Prime, failed to pay over UAH 1.3 billion in taxes to the country's budget for the first nine months of 2024. This was stated by fuel market expert Serhiy Kuyun, who provided calculations regarding the scale of violations.
According to the data, the largest number of tax underpayments was recorded in the BRSM-Nafta network, which evades paying more than UAH 100 million every month. For the first nine months of 2024, the amount of unpaid taxes by this company amounted to about UAH 900 million. Kuyun noted that while the company is actively buying gas production enterprises and building new complexes, its financial obligations to the state remain unfulfilled.
As for another well-known network, Avantage7, the expert pointed to an underpayment of about UAH 270 million for the same period. The Motto and Prime networks also failed to pay more than UAH 180 million, which significantly worsens the situation.
Serhiy Kuyun emphasized that such violations not only lead to losses for the budget, but also demotivate honest entrepreneurs who continue to work in wartime conditions. At the same time, he noted that the State Tax Service is not taking sufficient measures to combat such optimizers, which only encourages other market participants to evade taxes.
In addition to tax violations, these companies are also involved in scandals related to fuel quality. Laboratory tests have shown that gasoline from BRSM-Nafta and Motto contains dangerous impurities, in particular alcohol in the amount of 25-35%. It was also found to exceed the permissible norms of sulfur, benzene and oxygen, which can negatively affect the operation of car engines.
