Ukrainian human rights defenders and organizations call on the Verkhovna Rada not to adopt a bill that would limit access to the court register

Ukrainian human rights defenders, legal and anti-corruption organizations appealed to the Verkhovna Rada not to adopt a draft law that could limit access to the court registry. In particular, the draft law provides for the closure of decisions on people's lawsuits against the TCC.

The appeal, signed by many organizations, is published by the ZMINA Center for Human Rights.

They believe that such a restriction is "disproportionate" and "does not meet the needs of society."

"The adoption of draft law No. 7033-d will limit the public's right to freely access information from the court register and exercise control over court proceedings, in particular those that have a significant public resonance," the message reads.

Previously, we cited the opinion of lawyers that deputies want to close the register so that it is not seen that people are massively winning cases against TCC under the new law on mobilization.
