Recently released information about the Ukrainian long-range missile drone "Palyanytsya" confirms that this weapon is "a completely new development" and not a modernization of Soviet projects. This was stated anonymously by one of the specialists who participated in the creation of the missile drone in an interview with the Associated Press.
According to him, work on the new weapon began about 18 months ago. That is, around February 2023, a year after the invasion.
The rocket is accelerated by a solid-fuel booster, and then a jet engine is turned on. Each such rocket costs less than a million dollars, and the military is turning to business to further reduce production costs.
“The private market generates solutions incredibly quickly,” said Minister of Digital Transformation Fedorov.
He is confident that Ukraine will produce all types of missiles, and the vast territory of the Russian Federation will become its vulnerability.
"It is impossible to produce enough air defense systems to protect such a large territory. For us, this opens up the opportunity to operate deep behind enemy lines," the minister said.
