20-year-old model from Lviv, Maria Kovalchuk, who disappeared in Dubai after a party, was found in critical condition on the side of the road. The girl has multiple fractures in her arms, legs and spine. She has already undergone four surgeries and is currently unable to move, only moving her lips.
Disappearance after a party at the sheikh's
Maria went to Dubai to work and on her birthday went to a party with the "local sheikhs." The next day she called her mother and said that she would go to a hotel for a day to see strangers. According to the mother, her daughter's voice sounded confused. After that, communication with her was lost for eight days.
Maria's family fears that she was forced into sexual slavery, where she was brutally raped for several days and then thrown out into the street.
The dark side of "elite" parties
According to Russian publics, it is actively discussed in model chats that such "sheikhs' parties" often end in tragedies. Girls, mostly younger than 23, are offered from $500 for participation, but many disappear after that. This is especially true for models from the post-Soviet space.
Maria is currently in a hospital in Dubai, in critical condition. Her family has appealed to law enforcement agencies and Ukrainian diplomats, demanding an investigation into the case.
