Ukrainian rapper PŁATEK LUV (real name Mykyta Anatoliyovych Yeskov) was detained at the Romanian airport of Cluj-Napoca due to a request from the Russian Federation for an international wanted list. The 19-year-old artist announced this on his Instagram.
According to the artist, he was stopped during passport control without explanation, after which he was interrogated for over six hours, checking all his personal belongings down to the smallest detail. After a long interrogation, the rapper was informed that he could not leave the airport and the territory of Romania due to the presence of an international wanted list at the request of the Russian Federation.
“I was taken for examination and interrogation without explanation, all my belongings were turned over, and I was questioned about every little thing. After six hours of interrogation, I was told to wait for a response from Russia about what article they wanted to try me under and whether they would demand my extradition,” wrote PŁATEK LUV.
The artist was left in a special room for searches at the airport, all his documents were taken away, leaving only his phone. He later reported that the first court hearing in his case had taken place, but he is not revealing details at this time.
The probable reason for PŁATEK LUV being placed on the international wanted list is that in 2024 his name was included in the list of so-called "terrorists and extremists" in Russia.
Information on further developments in the situation and the court's decision is expected in the near future.
