A Ukrainian sniper has set a new world record for the longest range of a target. On August 14, he killed two Russian soldiers with a shot from a distance of 4,000 meters, exceeding the previous achievement by 200 meters. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
The incident took place on the front line between Pokrovsk and Myrnograd. A pair of snipers – a shooter and a spotter – used a Ukrainian-made 14.5mm Snipex Alligator rifle.
Thanks to air-to-air correction and artificial intelligence systems, the bullet flew four kilometers and hit directly into the window of the building where the Russian military was hiding. Both occupiers were destroyed.
The previous achievement belonged to Ukrainian sniper Vyacheslav Kovalsky, who hit a target from a distance of 3,800 meters in 2023. Before that, the record was held by:
-
Canadian military — 3,540 m (2017);
-
British snipers - 2478 m (2009).
The new record not only demonstrates the professionalism of Ukrainian soldiers, but also confirms the effectiveness of domestic weapons. The Snipex Alligator, created by Ukrainian engineers, has become a symbol of the technological superiority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Ukrainian military personnel are increasingly proving that they are capable of surpassing the best in the world even in the most difficult conditions.
