The Ukrainian Armed Forces have carried out a successful operation in Sevastopol. As reported by Russian media, the result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' missile attack was a stunning defeat for Russian forces.
On the evening of March 23, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked occupied Sevastopol: they struck the Russian landing ships Yamal and Azov, hit the communications center, and eliminated more than 30 occupiers.
On Saturday, at 21:46, information appeared that an air raid alert had been declared in Sevastopol. The Crimean Bridge was temporarily blocked for traffic. At 21:50, explosions were heard. After a short period of time, local residents counted six of them. The most powerful ones occurred in the area of Kozacha Bay and Cape Fiolent: people complained that the windows in their houses were shaking under the influence of the blast wave. Explosions were also heard in the area of Belbek airport.
Some time later, the so-called “governor” of temporarily occupied Sevastopol stated that the Russian military had used a smoke screen in the area of the inner roadstead, Sevastopol and Southern Bays. Sevastopol residents continued to report to local Telegram channels that smoke was visible at Cape Fiolent, and a column of smoke in Inkerman.
At around 10:15 p.m., Razvozzhaev wrote on his Telegram channel that several air targets had been shot down in Sevastopol. A child received a shrapnel wound near Shcherbaka Street. Debris also fell in the Industrialnaya area.
At 10:30 p.m., a second wave of rockets hit Sevastopol. People again began to complain about the blast waves that “made the houses shake.”.
And the “governor” of Sevastopol stated that Russian air defense systems had already shot down about 10 missiles. At the same time, a large-scale explosion was heard in the very center of the occupied city. For their part, local media reported that the arrival in Sevastopol was probably in the area of the former headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy on Rudnyova Street, where the Russian military unit was located.
It should be noted that after the missile attack on Sevastopol, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force thanked "the pilots and sailors for their successful combat work.".
“The sky and the sea are the same color! Thank you to the pilots and sailors for the successful combat work! Crimea is OURS! Together — to victory!” — wrote Mykola Oleschuk in his Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, according to OSINTtechnical, three Storm Shadow missiles hit a communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
As of the morning of March 24, the consequences of the military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian-occupied peninsula became known. The so-called “governor” of Sevastopol was forced to admit that the transport infrastructure was partially damaged as a result of the massive nighttime missile attack. This concerned sea boats and land transport.
As the Russian Telegram channel wrote, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a well-camouflaged command post, where more than two dozen officers were at the time of the strike. Also, three Russian Su-27 aircraft at the Belbek airfield were damaged by falling debris from downed missiles.
In addition, the Russians confirmed the strikes on the location of the Russian Black Sea Fleet marines. They say there are serious casualties there. In total, 34 soldiers were killed in the attack, 11 of them officers, and about 40 more occupiers were wounded.
As a reminder, on March 24, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two Russian landing ships. Both ships were built at the shipyards in Gdansk (Poland). They were armed with missile launchers and multiple launch rocket systems.
