Over the past two weeks, Ukrainian military forces have deoccupied part of the settlement of Hlyboke in the Kharkiv region. Oles Malyarevych, deputy commander of the Achilles assault battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade (OShBr), reported this on KYIV24.
"We have deoccupied part of the territory, namely Glyboky. This is a very important settlement. Currently, the enemy has brought up significant reserves and is trying to regain lost positions. There are currently intensive hostilities on their part. We are on the defensive and reliably hold the defense line," Malyarevich noted.
He specified that the 11th Russian tank regiment is in this area, in particular, but the enemy is constantly rotating its forces. “The marines worked for a long time, now they are partially replaced by motorized rifle divisions. That is, they send in whatever they have combat-ready. Now even the “Ahmad” has come in to strengthen our positions,” the military added.
Malyarevych emphasized the importance of Hlyboke: “It’s a small settlement, but very important. Both sides understand this. That’s why there are battles going on now. I think Ukrainians will hear about Hlyboke for a long time to come. If we don’t deoccupy this settlement, there’s a direct road to the border. They understand this and that’s why they’re clinging to it with all their might.”.
The occupiers are trying to break through into Vovchansk
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk and Lyptsy over the past day. The Kharkiv Military District reported that in Vovchansk, the enemy continues assault operations in the area of a multi-storey building.
It was also noted that in the Glyboki area, the movement of enemy personnel is sporadic due to the high activity of the Defense Forces' strike UAVs. Cases of refusals of Russian army servicemen from performing combat missions were noted.
The report of the Kharkiv Special Operations Command states that near Lukyantsy, the enemy regrouped the assault groups of the 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps and changed the positions of mortar crews.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are adequately responding to the enemy's actions and continue to destroy the manpower, weapons, and military equipment of the Russian occupiers. According to data as of August 31, the enemy's losses (irretrievable and medical) amounted to 104 people, of which irretrievable - 38, medical - 66. Also, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy lost 70 units of weapons and military equipment destroyed or damaged.
