Ukrainian aquadrones under the winged flag of “Magura-V5” have already successfully repelled attacks by Russian warships, including the reconnaissance ship “Ivan Khurs”, the landing ships “Akula” and “Serna”, the missile carrier “Ivanovets”, the large landing ship “Tsezar Kunikov” and the patrol corvette “Sergiy Kotov”. It seems that this successful dynamic will continue in the future. According to military intelligence forecasts, Ukraine will soon be able to ensure complete dominance in the waters of the Black Sea thanks to the introduction of new types of unmanned naval boats, which makes conventional warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet unnecessary.
The Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, reported this on the YouTube channel “NBN”. According to him, Ukrainian naval drones continue to be improved, including the installation of weapons capable of attacking both surface and air targets. The modernization of unmanned systems based on innovative technologies should guarantee “the complete dominance of unmanned naval vessels over traditional warships” in the near future.
Budanov emphasized that this advantage applies not only to open, but also to closed or semi-closed water areas, including the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and other regions. He also recalled that the destruction of a third of the combat potential of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is a significant achievement.
