The situation at the front is becoming more and more complicated, which forces the Ukrainian military to call for ways to end the war through negotiations. This is stated in the article of the German publication Bild , the author of which is the deputy editor-in-chief Paul Ronzheimer, who recently visited Donbas.
The Ukrainian military said that they have significantly less manpower and ammunition than the Russians.
"In my personal opinion, the war has reached a dead end. In the last three or four months, we were forced to retreat. The Russians are picking up the pace, they have the means to continue [the war]. They have people, they outnumber us. We must end this war. We have to negotiate, but we don't want to give up our territory," said Andriy, a fighter of the 68th brigade, who is fighting in the Pokrovsky direction.
He said that the Russian assaults were never as intense as now. Andrii assumes that it is connected with the results of the elections in the USA.
"They fight at the same level as us. They learned. Today, their tactics are as follows: they find our positions and open massive fire on them. Sometimes they get caught, and it's very painful for us. After firing, they send a reconnaissance-assault group of three to five soldiers," says the Ukrainian officer.
Now new defense structures are being erected 30 kilometers from the front line - "a clear sign of what Ukraine is preparing for."
