Last month, Ukraine recorded a significant increase in demand for hybrid passenger cars. According to data released by Ukravtoprom, the country's car fleet was replenished with almost 2.4 thousand such vehicles (HEV and PHEV). This is 56% more than in the same period last year, which indicates the gradual strengthening of this segment in the market.
New car market: Toyota leads
The share of new cars in the total number was 57%, although a year ago it was slightly higher at 62%. However, demand for new hybrid cars remains stable, and the market leader in this segment is the Toyota RAV-4, with 345 registered units. This popular crossover has long maintained its position in the market thanks to its reliability, economy and innovative technologies.
In second place among new hybrid cars was the Toyota Camry with 96 units sold. This sedan is known for its luxury, comfort and efficiency, making it the choice of many Ukrainian consumers.
Third place went to the Toyota Yaris Cross, with 73 units. This compact crossover is gaining popularity due to its maneuverability, modern design and low fuel consumption.
Used car market: Ford Fusion at the top
As for imported used cars with hybrid powertrains, the leadership here is held by the Ford Fusion US - 94 registered units. This car combines stylish design, technological solutions and affordability, which makes it an attractive option for Ukrainian drivers.
In second place among used hybrids was the already familiar Toyota RAV-4, with 63 registered units. Third place was taken by the KIA Niro, with 56 units, which confirms the growing interest in this model among Ukrainians.
