In November 2025, the Ukrainian market of used passenger cars imported from abroad showed significant growth. According to UkrAvtoprom, last month Ukrainians registered 23.5 thousand such cars - 60% more than in November 2024. The leader was the Volkswagen Golf, whose sales reached 1,035 units.
The organization specifies that since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have already purchased 231.4 thousand imported used cars. Compared to the same period last year, the market has grown by 12%, which indicates stable demand for used cars against the background of the high cost of new ones.
The vast majority of imported cars run on gasoline — their share is 43%. Electric cars came in second place, taking 32% of the market. Cars with diesel engines accounted for 17%, while hybrids received 5%, and gas cars — about 3%. Analysts explain that the growth in the share of electric cars is associated with an increase in supply and active imports of Tesla models.
In addition to the Volkswagen Golf, the top ten most popular used cars of the month included the Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model 3, Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Leaf, Renault Megane, Skoda Octavia, Audi Q5, Nissan Rogue and Kia Niro. The data shows that Ukrainians continue to focus on European and American models that offer the best price-quality ratio.
The cost of November's most popular model — the Volkswagen Golf — varies significantly depending on age, technical condition and mileage. A 2020 car with 120 thousand kilometers is offered for $ 13,500. A 2022 model with 93 thousand kilometers costs about $ 19,500. The most expensive are 2025 cars with minimal mileage — offers on the market reach $ 34,405.
Experts note that demand for used cars from abroad is growing against the backdrop of a limited number of new cars and a general increase in the price of equipment. The market is gradually recovering, and the demand structure indicates a stable strengthening of the positions of electric cars and modern European models in the used transport segment.
