Ukrainians who have been living abroad for a long time can now register for military service without a personal visit to the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC and SP). This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"The government supported draft resolution No. 560, developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, to bring it into line with Article 37 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Military Obligation and Military Service' and to regulate issues of military registration of conscripts, conscripts and reservists who are under within the borders of the state," says the message.
According to the document, men who were removed from military registration due to going abroad can be registered without personal presence at the TCC.
In addition, from the list of documents confirming the right to postponement of the draft for Ukrainians abroad, the requirement to submit a conclusion of the medical advisory commission on the need for constant care for persons with disabilities of the II group is excluded. This should simplify the procedure and avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.
The government also granted the TCC and SP the right to send electronic appeals to the police regarding violators of military registration rules.
"The new rules enter into force from the day of publication and are aimed at making the military accounting system more efficient and accessible," added the Ministry of Defense.
We remind you that Ukrainian men who are conscripted into the military without military registration documents will not be able to get a passport abroad. The relevant resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
