Ukrainians can receive up to UAH 1 million to open a private kindergarten

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the capabilities of the state grant program "Own Business". From now on, Ukrainians can receive up to 1 million hryvnias for the opening or development of private kindergartens, nurseries or child development centers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

Grants will be provided on the condition of creating new jobs and partial co-financing. Depending on the amount, entrepreneurs must hire two to four employees and invest some of their own funds. The state will provide up to UAH 500,000 if at least two jobs are created. To receive a grant of UAH 500,000 to UAH 1 million, at least four jobs must be created. In this case, 70% of the amount is provided by the state, and 30% must be contributed by the entrepreneur.

Grant funds can be used for:

  • repair and arrangement of premises;

  • purchase of furniture, appliances and interactive equipment;

  • purchase of toys and teaching materials;

  • advertising and marketing services;

  • vehicles for the needs of the institution;

  • launching a kindergarten franchise.

You can apply through the "Diya" portal along with a business plan. The program is administered by the State Employment Service.

This government move is aimed at expanding access to preschool education, supporting small businesses and creating new jobs, especially in regions with a shortage of kindergartens. The initiative will also help parents return to an economically active life by creating quality conditions for the care and development of children.
