"Ukrzaliznytsia" continues to adapt its services to the standards of European integration. Thus, Russian has been removed from the colors, and now the information on travel documents is duplicated in Ukrainian and English.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Timur Tkachenko:
"There is no longer any Russian dubbing on railway tickets. Now the information on travel documents will be duplicated in Ukrainian and English."
He believes that "this is an important step within the framework of European integration.".
"The abandonment of Russian dubbing is not only a symbolic but also a practical step towards establishing Ukrainian as the only state language. The use of English contributes to integration into the international space, improves the convenience of foreign passengers, and demonstrates European service standards. This is not the final appearance of the ticket, it will be somewhat improved, but the main thing now is the absence of Russian on it," Tkachenko added.
He also published a sample of such a ticket, which was printed for tonight's upcoming boxing match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
