As part of the general mobilization in Ukraine, cases have become more frequent when citizens liable for military service find themselves registered in territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) with which they have no connection either by place of residence or registration. This is reported by the gsminfo resource.
Such registration changes occur without the participation of citizens themselves and without any warning. People often learn about the new “assignment” by accident - during the reconciliation of personal data or at the time of applying for registration at their actual place of residence.
What is happening?
Common situations include:
-
automatic change of registration without submitting an application;
-
the absence of any official notification;
-
cases when a person was officially deregistered from “their” CCC, but their data appears in the database of another center.
Such cases can create legal uncertainty, complicate the performance of duties within the framework of mobilization, and also cause difficulties during the processing of documents or service.
What do experts recommend?
To protect yourself, human rights activists advise:
-
check your data through available electronic services, in particular in “Rezerv+” or “Diya”;
-
contact the CCC at the place of registration with a written request regarding your presence or absence in the database;
-
submit an application for registration at the actual place of residence if the current CCC is not valid;
-
keep all documents confirming a change of residence, deregistration, or appeal to the authorities.
In case of refusal or inaction on the part of the CCC, it is worth contacting the Ministry of Defense or filing a lawsuit in court.
