Ukrainian Maria Pomazan won gold at the 2024 Paralympics in the shot put

Ukrainian athlete Maria Pomazan brought pride to Ukraine by winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Pomazan competed in the shot put discipline in the F35 class and showed exceptional results, setting a new personal best for the season.

In the final, she won with a personal record of the season – she pushed the shot put 12.75 meters.

This is Pomazan's third "gold" in her career at the Paralympic Games, only at the Rio Games in 2016 she finished the final with a silver award.
