Ukraine has a clear backup plan in case military assistance from the United States is stopped or reduced, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa said in an interview with the Azerbaijani Report agency.
According to him, the Ukrainian authorities are fully aware of the possible risks of changing the US foreign policy course and are already working on alternative scenarios.
" We count on the support of our partners and allies - it is critically important for us. But even if at some point one of the types of assistance is stopped, we have a plan "B". And we will still continue the fight ," Palisa emphasized.
He noted that during the war, Ukraine cannot afford to depend on only one source of assistance. The country, he said, has its own resources, as well as plans to expand cooperation with other partners. This includes mobilizing domestic capabilities, developing the defense industry, and strengthening cooperation with European allies.
The statement came amid increasingly active discussions in the United States about further support for Ukraine, especially in the context of the domestic political struggle before the elections. However, the Office of the President emphasizes that despite all the difficulties, Ukraine is ready to continue resisting the aggressor even in the face of changing external conditions.
