Ukraine is 95% ready to resume air transportation, but this depends on ensuring the safety of passengers. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba in an interview with the "Karpyak na Suspilny" .
According to Kuleba, the decision to launch flights in Lviv or Boryspil can be implemented within 45-50 days after its adoption. However, the safety of passengers remains the main condition holding back the resumption of flights.
"The security architecture provides for serious means of air defense. Today, they are not enough to ensure airport security," Kuleba said.
Should we expect flights in 2025?
Answering this question, the minister emphasized that everything depends on the situation at the front:
"The front is a key factor for any development of the country, including aviation."
The State Aviation Service of Ukraine is considering the possibility of gradually opening the airspace, and Lviv will probably be the first city where flights can resume.
