Ukraine is actively preparing the infrastructure of airfields to receive F-16 multipurpose fighters. According to the information of the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, work on the integration of these aircraft into the system of the Defense Forces of Ukraine is being conducted both in Ukraine and within the framework of the international Air Force Coalition. The work involves not only the adaptation of airfields, but also the training of pilots and engineers. Ukraine hopes to complete infrastructure preparation by the end of 2024 as part of the Fast Track program, which includes evaluating airfields and conducting personnel training on F-16 aircraft. The training takes place in conditions of constant use of airfield infrastructure for combat missions.
