At the NATO Summit in the United States, Ukraine asks to confirm the irreversibility of the path to membership

Ukraine wants its path to NATO membership to be fixed irrevocably at the upcoming Alliance Summit in Washington, the head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO Nataliya Halybarenko said in an interview with Politico.

According to her, Ukraine understands that the Allies may not make a political decision about an invitation to join NATO during the conflict, so at the moment it does not seek immediate accession. She also emphasized the need to obtain additional decisions on air defense and to recognize Ukraine's significant achievements in reforms.

Halibarenko noted that Ukraine hopes for progressive formulations regarding membership that will surpass the approaches outlined at the NATO Summit in Vilnius.
