Ukraine nationalized two passenger planes belonging to the Russian Federation

The highest anti-corruption court of Ukraine issued a decision to satisfy the claim for the nationalization of property belonging to the largest airline company of the Russian Federation, Rostec. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.

Two AN148-100E passenger aircraft with a total value of 10 million euros (approximately 428 million hryvnias) were charged to the state's income.

These aircraft were leased to a former Ukrainian airline for charter flights within the country prior to the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, the planes were on the balance sheet of an offshore company belonging to the Rostec structure. Currently, this corporation is known as the main producer of weapons for the occupying groups of the Russian Federation, which participate in the war against Ukraine.
