Ukraine nationalized two passenger planes belonging to the Russian Federation

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has ruled to uphold the lawsuit to nationalize property belonging to Russia's largest airline, Rostec. This was announced by the Prosecutor General's Office.

Two AN148-100E passenger aircraft with a total value of 10 million euros (approximately 428 million hryvnias) were seized from the state's revenue.

These aircraft were leased to a former Ukrainian airline for charter flights within the country before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. According to the investigation, the aircraft were on the balance sheet of an offshore company belonging to the Rostec structure. This corporation is currently known as the main manufacturer of weapons for the Russian occupation groups participating in the war against Ukraine.
