Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga said that the country is not ready to make territorial concessions in exchange for peace with Russia. This confirmation was made in an interview published in one of the Ukrainian mass media, and became a clear signal of Ukraine's position regarding future negotiations with the Russian Federation.
"There will be no compromises on our territorial integrity, sovereignty or future security. We need to eliminate the gray areas because Russia is turning them into areas of influence. Instead, we need geopolitical certainty regarding Ukraine as part of the Euro-Atlantic community," said the head of the Foreign Ministry in Malta, where the OSCE summit is taking place.
According to him, Kyiv's peace plan ultimately consists in "Russia withdrawing from Ukraine and leaving us alone."
Sybiga also stated that there will be no compromises regarding "future security", probably alluding to Ukraine's demand to accept it into NATO after the war.
We will remind you that the other day, President Zelensky said the opposite - that Ukraine is ready to end the war on the front line without returning captured territories in exchange for NATO membership.
