The Naval Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the destruction of the Russian ferry "Conro Trader" in the port of "Kavkaz". This ferry was an important part of Russian military logistics, using it to transport fuel and weapons.
The information was confirmed by the spokesman of the Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk on Radio Svoboda.
When asked whether the Navy can confirm that Ukraine hit the Russian ferry "Conro Trader" in the port "Kavkaz" of the Krasnodar region, Pletenchuk answered:
"That's right. We can confirm the information that the target was destroyed by the Navy. Without particular details."
The Navy spokesman also indicated that this ferry is one of the important chains of Russian military logistics to support the occupation forces. First of all, fuel and lubricants, but in addition, of course, he transported weapons
"That's why it's a completely legitimate goal. And, accordingly, this should reduce the potential of our enemy, in those locations where they conduct active combat operations," he said.
The spokesman of the Navy did not specify what exactly hit the "Konro Trader".
The operative headquarters of the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation reported that the railway ferry with fuel, which was damaged by the Ukrainian attack in the port of "Kavkaz", sank.
