Ukraine expands the black list of Russian cultural figures

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine has decided to expand the list of persons who pose a threat to national security. The updated list included six new Russian cultural figures who became part of anti-Ukrainian propaganda activities.

According to the department's order, the following were added to the list:

  • Oleg Mashkov, Russian artist, director and artistic director of the Oleg Tabakov Moscow Theater and the Sovremennyk Moscow Theater;
  • Natalia Antonova, Russian actress;
  • Vitaly Gogunskyi, Russian actor, singer and TV presenter;
  • Serhii Veksler, artist and theater director;
  • Anton Batyrev, Russian actor;
  • Alyona Yakovleva, Russian actress.

These cultural figures have become part of propaganda campaigns promoting anti-Ukrainian narratives and ideas that are part of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Thus, there are currently 228 people on the list of persons who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine. We will remind that in 2023 the Ministry of Culture has already included three Russians in this list.
