Electricity consumption in Ukraine remains at a high level, but the latest data indicate a gradual decrease. According to the information of NEC "Ukrenergo", the tendency to reduce electricity consumption has become noticeable, despite the persistence of hot weather, which traditionally increases the need for electricity.
On September 1, the daily maximum electricity consumption was recorded, 3.2% lower compared to the previous day off, August 31. This indicates the beginning of reducing the load on the country's energy system. As of September 2, electricity consumption is already 3.7% lower compared to the same time of the previous working day, August 30.
In the conditions of the current high air temperature, which persists in most regions of Ukraine, state measures to limit consumption continue to operate throughout the day on Monday. This helps control the load on the energy infrastructure.
As for the import of electricity, it is planned to import from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 11,972 MWh. At the same time, there is currently no export of electricity from Ukraine.
The decrease in consumption can be attributed to the gradual reduction of hot weather and efforts to manage electricity consumption. The situation requires further monitoring to ensure the stability of the country's energy system in the face of changing demand.
