The Government of Ukraine has made a decision according to which the Ministry of Digital Transformation will form a policy in the field of gambling. This decision envisages the creation of a new agency that will replace the current gambling and lottery (dowel) commission.
The new structure will be responsible for the transparency and efficiency of the gambling market in Ukraine. In particular, the Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to determine the technical requirements for digital systems for gambling, to control the process of their development, and to monitor the use of funds that will come to the agency.
One of the key changes will be process automation - instead of the traditional sending of stacks of documents by mail to dowers, gambling operators will send documents online. The Ministry also reported new requirements for obtaining a gambling license, including lack of tax debt, impeccable reputation and lack of relations with Russia. If two penalties, the license will be canceled.
