Ukrainian experts are actively working on the creation of anti-aircraft missile systems capable of destroying hypersonic goals, including Russian dagger and zircon rockets. This was stated by the Deputy Head of Presidential Office Pavel Palis in an interview with the Azerbaijani Report Agency.
According to him, some of these developments have already undergone a combat test. Currently, efforts are aimed at creating technologies that can neutralize not only hypersonic but also ballistic and aerobalistic missiles.
In parallel, Ukraine is developing effective and relatively inexpensive means of counteracting Drone-Kamikadze, primarily "Shahanedam". Some of them are in the final stage of the tests and will be applied in real combat conditions in the near future.
Palis also reported that almost half of the Armed Forces needs are already provided with domestic production - independently or in the format of joint projects with international partners. The government is ready to expand production facilities in cooperation with allies.
Against this background, according to Palis, Ukraine carefully analyzes changes in external assistance. In particular, a recent delay in supplies from the United States has become a serious signal for the authorities. At the same time, the country has a strategy of action in the event of a reduction in support from the outside, including the development of independent defense production.
In the context of peaceful conflict settlement, the Ukrainian side declares readiness for negotiations, but excludes the possibility of surrender conditions. The last round of negotiations in Istanbul was focused on humanitarian issues - the exchange of prisoners, the transfer of bodies of dead and the return of stolen children. The ceasefire agreement was not reached.
According to Palis, the Russian side continues to insist on unacceptable conditions that do not correspond to the real situation at the front.
