Ukraine and France have signed a joint declaration on the creation of the Unity Hub, which will support Ukrainians abroad and facilitate their return to their homeland.
The Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov reported this as a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of France François-Noel Buffet, dedicated to the issue of reception and integration of temporarily displaced Ukrainians.
What does the initiative involve?
The Unity Center will become a platform for legal, social and humanitarian support for Ukrainians in France, as well as help those who plan to return to Ukraine.
The parties discussed:
-
Continuation of temporary protection for Ukrainians in France.
-
Prospects for the return of refugees to their homeland and the conditions of their adaptation.
-
Support in the field of medicine and education for Ukrainians in France.
-
Recognition of Ukrainian driver's licenses, which will greatly simplify the lives of those who have left Ukraine.
-
Opportunities for employment and social adaptation of Ukrainians in France.
"France has provided the shelter of tens of thousands of our citizens, and we appreciate this help. We hope that it will continue until the end of the war," Alexei Chernyshov said.
Returning Ukrainians home
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the allocation of UAH 150 million to the program of return of Ukrainian refugees from abroad. This will be an additional incentive for those who want to return home but need financial or social support.
