According to information received from a source in the Verkhovna Rada, there will be no peace summit this year. The Government of Ukraine, in particular the Office of the President, continues to work on finding new formats that would allow Volodymyr Zelenskyi's victory plan to be promoted and provide the necessary funding to continue the war in 2025. This means that even in conditions of international fatigue from the conflict, Ukraine does not plan to stop hostilities and seeks to find ways to support it at the global level.
Andriy Yermak, the head of the President's Office, finally gave up on the idea of uniting the countries of the Global South around support for Ukraine. Instead, he is focused on retaining the support of Western partners, particularly Europe and the United States, and ensuring their active participation in funding and political support for Zelenskyi. Kyiv's current position is that the conflict should be resolved through a military victory, not through peaceful negotiations, at least in the short term.
