Ukraine introduces absentee summonses as part of strengthening mobilization

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made an important decision regarding absentee summonses, which are introduced in the context of the law on strengthening mobilization. Resolution No. 747, published officially, opens a new stage of mobilization measures in the country and aims to ensure preparation for possible challenges to national security.

The document states that the subpoena "may be sent by registered mail with a description of the attachment and a notice of delivery."

The norm of "notice of delivery" is included in other regulatory documents, in particular, the Procedure for organizing and maintaining military records of conscripts and the Procedure for recruiting citizens for military service.

We will remind you that a summons sent to a conscript to any of his addresses known to the TCC will be considered automatically served, regardless of the man's actions. Failure to appear will result in an absentee fine, possible blocking of accounts and deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle.
