Ukraine provides funding for the support program for veterans and demobilized persons through the creation of a network of support specialists

On Friday, July 5, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution providing funding for a project to create a network of support specialists for veterans and demobilized persons throughout the country. This project aims to support the transition from military service to civilian life.

This was reported in the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. According to the approved document, in 2024, a subvention in the amount of 2,924,445.5 thousand hryvnias will be allocated from the state budget to local budgets for the implementation of the project. In particular, the issue of remuneration for specialists in accompanying veterans and demobilized persons has been resolved.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs noted that escort specialists will provide individual professional support to veterans and their family members in the process of adaptation to civilian life. They will advise on employment, training, social protection, rehabilitation and other aspects. The project will work on the principle of "equal to equal" and is aimed at supporting the veteran community.

Priority in the appointment of specialists for accompanying veterans and demobilized persons in the Cabinet of Ministers is given mainly to veterans, members of their families and families of fallen soldiers who express a desire to work in this field.
