Ukraine continues to hunt for energy resources that define the face of its energy landscape. According to the latest data, gas, nuclear fuel, and coal are the three main leaders on this list, with FDI acting as an exotic indicator of Ukrainian energy.
According to YASNO, gas remains the most popular energy source in Ukraine, accounting for 30% of the country's total energy needs. Nuclear energy is in second place, providing 24% of energy needs. Coal remains in third place with 22%.
According to experts, hydroelectric power plants produce no more than 4% of energy, while renewable energy sources contribute only 3%.
Nuclear power remains the largest producer of electricity in Ukraine. According to Energoatom, Ukrainian nuclear power plants generated over 1 billion kWh more than last year.
In addition, Ukrgazvydobuvannya also achieved a significant breakthrough, achieving the highest daily production since December 2018. This success was achieved thanks to the commissioning of a record number of new wells, most of which are high-flow, providing over 100 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
