In a short period of time, Ukraine managed to develop and put into mass production its own long-range strike drones. General Director of Ukroboronprom Herman Smetanin stated this in an interview.
According to him, these drones are now hitting strategic enemy targets at a distance of more than 1,000 km.
Smetanin also reminded that Ukraine has already successfully launched mass production of FPV drones.
"A significant contribution was made by our enterprises, which established close cooperation with private companies and helped them scale production," he noted.
He emphasized that the enemy should not be underestimated, especially one as powerful as Russia.
"We have become more non-linear and innovative. Russia has huge resources and a powerful industry, so it makes no sense to blindly copy its approach. We are forced to be flexible and resourceful. Like David, who realized that fighting Goliath with his own methods is a wrong idea, we chose a weapon that can bring victory, and we skillfully use it," Smetanin added.
